SUN METRO

The El Paso Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) is the community's regional planning and programming agency responsible for working with local, state and federal agencies and transportation providers, as well as the city's residents and organizations, to address the complex transportation needs of the region.

Sun Metro works closely with the MPO to manage the current and future public transit needs in El Paso. The public is encouraged to be part of this planning process by clicking on any of the MPO links or documents listed below to learn more about the unified planning work program, the metropolitan transportation plan, the state implementation plan and the public participation program.

Title VI Notice to the Public

Title VI of the Civil Rights of 1964 and related statutes prohibiting discrimination in federally assisted programs require that no person in the United States of America shall, on the grounds of race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability be excluded from the participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be otherwise subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving federal assistance.

Any person who believes they have been harmed by an unlawful discriminatory practice regarding Sun Metro's programs has a right to file a formal complaint with Sun Metro. Any such complaint must be in writing and submitted to the Sun Metro Title VI Coordinator within one hundred eighty (180) days following the date of the alleged occurrence.

Capitulo VI de los Derechos Civiles de 1964 y los estatutos que prohíben la discriminación en programas de asistencia federal establece que ninguna persona en los Estados Unidos, sea excluida de participar, negada de beneficios, o ser de alguna otra manera sujeta a discriminación por motivos de raza, color, origen nacional, sexo, edad o discapacidad bajo cualquier programa o actividad que reciba asistencia federal.

Cualquier persona que cree haber sido sujeto de una práctica ilegal discriminatoria en cuanto a los programas de Sun Metro, tiene el derecho de presentar una queja formal a Sun Metro. Cualquier denuncia debe ser hecha por escrito y presentada al Coordinador del Capitulo VI, Sun Metro dentro de los ciento ochenta (180) días siguientes a la fecha del acontecimiento.
